TSPI achieves CMMI v1.2 Maturity Level 3

CMMI Appraisal 2010 The Carnegie-Mellon University Software Engineering Institute officially recognized the 2nd Business Unit of Tsukiden Software Philippines, Inc. as a Capability Maturity Model Integration・(CMMI) 1.2 Level 3 last July 14, 2010. TSPI is the first software company in the Philippines to have achieved level 3 in CMMI version 1.2.

TSPI was recommended for CMMI 1.2 Level 3 by its Lead Appraiser, Dr. Vinit Maheshwari, Director of Maverick Quality Advisory Services Private Limited and CMMI-certified High Maturity Lead Appraiser last June 18, 2010. After 26 days, the recommendation was accepted and approved for public use by Carnegie-Mellon SEI.

The Capability Maturity Model Integration, or CMMI for short, is an internationally-recognized process improvement approach that helps guide organizations to integrate traditionally separate organizational functions, set process improvement goals and priorities, provide guidance for quality processes, and provide a point of reference for appraising current processes.

TSPI at the 19th Software Development Expo (SODEC) at Tokyo Big Site, Japan

SODEC 2010 For the 8th consecutive time since 2003, TSPI joined the Philippine delegation to Software Development Expo held at Tokyo Big Sight in Tokyo, Japan from May 12 to 15. SODEC is now on its 19th year and based on post show reports, there were a record of 1,206 exhibitors and 122,371 visitors. This has broken all other previous records and only affirms that SODEC is one of the most important events in the IT industry in Japan. TSPI goes to SODEC every year with the Philippine delegation in order to showcase to the Japanese market the capability of Filipinos in software development. While the Japanese IT market is huge and is projected to grow to US$145.96 billion by 2012, the Philippines needs a lot more to do in terms of marketing in order to capture a bigger slice of the pie.

TSPI at CeBIT 2010

CEBIT 2010 For the 1st time, TSPI participated in CeBIT 2010 last May 24 to 26 held at Sydney’s Convention and Exhibition Centre at Darling Harbour in Sydney, Australia. CeBIT stands for Centrum der Büro-und Informationstechnik, German for "Centre of Office and Information Technology." The Business Process Association of the Philippines (BPAP), in cooperation with the Philippine government's Commission on ICT and the Department of Trade & Industry, led the Philippine delegation composed of 10 companies and a 22-man delegation to represent the Philippines at CeBIT 2010. CeBIT Australia is the leading business event in the Asia Pacific region for Information and Communications Technology driving business strategy. In TSPI’s effort to build the TSPI brand and to search for opportunities in other markets, TSPI actively participates in international exhibits like CEBIT. On the extreme left is Joseph Valdez, Engineering Director and on the extreme right is Lowell Tortona, Senior Engineering Manager. The rest are Philippine delegates of other software companies and representatives from DTI, CICT, BPAP and PSIA.

SSS Hands-Out 2009 Philippines Awards To Top Employers, "BALIKAT NG BAYAN"

BALIKAT NG BAYAN 2009 The Philippine Government Agency, Social Security System (SSS), awarded Tsukiden Software Philippines Inc as "TOP EMPLOYER for National Capitol Region (North Area) - Medium Sized Category " last September 1, 2009. The Awarding Ceremony was held at Ramon Magsaysay Hall, SSS main office in Quezon City.

Tsukiden Software Philippines was represented by its Vice - President - Mr. Koji Masuda, Admin Director - Ms. Michel Anson and HR Benefits Associate - Ms. Jenny Haboc. The award was handed over by SSS President & CEO Hon. Romulo L. Neri, SSC Chairman Hon. Thelmo Y. Cunanan and Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Governor Hon. Amando M. Tetangco, Jr. to Mr. Koji Masuda.

In alignment with TSPI Employee Care Program, the award shows that TSPI is achieving its advocacy to be "the BEST PARTNER of its Associates" by consistently taking care of its associates and providing a conducive and nurturing work environment.

This can be attributed to its Associates continuous cooperation and TSPI top management's support.

TSUKIDEN SOFTWARE PHIL INC. and AMA Computer University, regarded as the pioneer and largest IT University in Asia, have forged partnership last June 29, 2009. Their collaboration transpired so that both institutions can provide more employment opportunities to IT professionals.

TSPI agreed to support AMA in the areas of Student Internship Program that would provide real world IT project experience to their students. The partnership also includes curriculum review and training, job posting and job placement. As Mr. Jiro Hanzawa, TSPI President  cited  to  AMA  CEO  &  President ,

Tsukiden Participates in CommunicAsia 2009

Tsukiden Software Philippines, Inc. participated as one of the Philippine delegates in the 20th International Communications and Information Technology Exhibition or CommunicAsia 2009, held at Singapore Expo last June 16-19, 2009 in Singapore.

This year marks the sixth consecutive year that the Philippines has participated in CommunicAsia. Meanwhile this is the 3rd year for TSPI which started its participation in 2007. Since then TSPI has joined CommunicAsia every year. TSPI joins CommunicAsia as part of its overall plan to tap into other markets other than Japan. While Japan remains to be TSPI痴 number one market, TSPI always remains open to opportunities in other markets to realize the vision of its President, Mr. Hanzawa, of a TSPI serving not only one market but several markets as a way of increasing growth.

Since 2003, TSPI has been a part of the Software Development Expo (SODEC) held annually at Japan. For its 18th EXPO, it was held last May 13-15, 2009 at the Tokyo International Exhibition Center (Tokyo Big Sight). The TSPI delegates, headed by TSPI Vice - President Mr. Koji Masuda, have actively displayed the strengths of the company, namely its 20 years of successful IT outsourcing services, Japanese Bridge-SEs based in Manila, certified CMMI Level 3 and guaranteed security program for its projects. As the primary market, TSPI still looks forward to meeting and having more business dealings with Japanese companies and to continuously promote its highly skilled and professional IT Filipino associates.

Last February 28, 2009, TSPI celebrated its 20th anniversary at Crowne Plaza Hotel. It was graced by honorable CICT Chairman Ray Anthony Roxas-Chua III.
TSPI President, Mr. Jiro Hanzawa said: "The 20th Anniversary celebration is a big leap for Tsukiden Software Phil. Inc." Looking back 20 years ago, there were 16 engineers who were first hired by TSPI and were sent to Japan for training. As the years passed, TSPI has continuously acquired more projects, more clients and has increased manpower.

The event became memorable to all the attendees as they witnessed the entertaining group song & dance presentations of different TSPI batches and extravagant raffle prizes were also imparted.

It was truly an evening of glamour and an inspiring experience to be part of the TSPI's VISION,  that  is  -
to be the "Best Global Business Partner of our Clients" and to be the "Best Global Business Partner of the Associates".
